The Poncho

I hate ponchos. Well, hated. Zara has me changing my mind apparently (I bought another in cream, and I'm thinking about a third wool one). Cashmere, flowing, and with mock sleeves, no Mexican blanket here! What more can a girl ask for?
I got this sweater in my love package from my parents and friends (ie. I online shop a lot at Zara, and have it shipped to Canada, then beg people to ship it to Korea for me). I'm so thankful to Steph for letting me use her Fedex discount (and a note to any foreigners in Korea wanting to ship things here – you need to give Fedex your passport number for customs, otherwise it gets held there forever, or until you call them with the number).

I also managed to eat four bars of dark chocolate I had my parents send over (in two weeks, I have very little self control around sweets). Four bars of 90% chocolate. It was amazing, because there is no such thing as "real" chocolate in Gongju (I could probably find some in Itaewon, but I don't live in Seoul, so...). I say "real" chocolate because I gave a bar to my school's staff when I received the package. It didn't go over well. Turns out, since Korea doesn't really have dark chocolate (what they call dark chocolate is not dark chocolate, trust me), no one really likes it. At least they could recognize that it was "real" (their words, not mine) and didn't go, "Omg, it's not chocolate, what are you feeding us Arielle?!" Actually, I didn't think one of the teachers got any, so I offered him some more at lunch, but apparently, he took a big handful from what was left in the office (not realizing it was 90%, and since I had left the office by that time, I couldn't warn him), and silently cried while trying to swallow (jk, I'm pretty sure he didn't cry, just grimaced). I don't think he was very happy with me, but at least he remembered to invite me to the desk warming lunch last week (my school forgot I had to be at the school to deskwarm because of the EPIK contract, so I've been getting instant noodles from them after they all go for lunch)!

I'm still fighting the puffy carb face from New Years, but at least my eyes aren't swollen upon waking anymore. I'll be sharing my tips on getting rid of the excess bloat soon!
